About me.

Education

I graduated from Idaho State University with my Masters of Counseling, with a Clinical Mental Health focus. During my time at ISU, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor, and was a member of Chi Sigma Iota. I worked full time throughout graduate school, which gave me the opportunity to receive the Blue Cross Scholarship. For undergraduate, I attended The College of Idaho, where I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Human Services, Art, and Environmental Science. Art and creativity are therapeutic outlets that I believe whole-heartedly in, as well as our natural environment.

Career

After graduating from the College of Idaho, I worked with adults in community rehabilitation, specifically those who struggled with acute mental health diagnoses in our community. This solidified my decision to focus on mental health as I held deep compassion and empathy for the individuals with whom I worked. I continued my focus on mental health in various settings; schools, employers, et cetera— before making the decision to go back to school to earn my MCOUN, which would allow me to help individuals struggling in a deeper way, and allow me the freedom to focus on my several areas of interest.
